Though the Thor line isn’t exciting me at all, I have to admit that each time I see more of the Captain America 3.75-inch scale action figure series I start thinking about exploring the toy aisle in every store between here and the office. For those who need multiples and don’t enjoy the hunt, there’s now Captain America Movie Action Figures Wave 2* up for pre-order at Entertainment Earth. I think the only figure that I don’t want in this wave is Captain Britain, so I suspect he’ll end up being the figure that I see the most of in stores.
Your Ultimates Captain America figure is ready to take on whatever evil forces come his way! Help your fierce fighter wield his dual-blade shield against his enemies, defend him from attacks and strike back with speed and power. Even when you’re surrounded, you and your Ultimates Captain America figure can battle your way to victory! Case includes 12 individually packaged action figures.
Actually the peg warmer is surfer dude. At least in Forbidden Planet they were.
I picked-up the Battlefield Captain America from Wave 1 last night and I have to say I’m pretty disappointed with him – he’s got those same nasty, cheap-feeling joints as the Thor Frost Giant and the articulation is pretty weak.

I, too, was kinda disappointed in Battlefield Cap. Same issue, really cheap rubbery plastic in the arms and legs that make him all bendy. And his shoulders and hips are extremely hard plastic and it can be hard to get them to move. I guess it still beats paying 50 bucks for the original on the aftermarket. He was the only figure I had that issue with, but I didn’t get the regular Cap.
I want pretty much every figure in wave 2. Maybe not surfer Cap, but everything else looks fantastic.
Chances are I’ll be picking-up some of the other figures (I really want a Red Skull) but it’s just a shame they’re so poorly made. They’re fine as display pieces (although they really do need stands) but as toys they’re really poor and I can see a lot of broken-limbed figures cropping up soon…
