Captain America Toys at Wal-Mart

I stopped in Wal-Mart this morning on the way to the office and surprise of surprises, they unloaded completely new Captain America action figures overnight.

US Agent, Crossbones, Red Skull. All three of these weren’t on the pegs yesterday. And there were a few more larger pieces out, including one massive vehicle and some “roleplay” items.

It’s still a much smaller section than they’re using for Transformers toys, but it looks like Wal-Mart upped the total number of Captain America toys on their shelves.

The Thor toys continue to sit unloved. I suspect a lot of those will reach the clearance aisle.

  1. I picked up the WWII Cap from the Comic Series, very pleased with the figure in all. I think he is a repaint of a SDCC Exclusive from a year or two ago. While I appreciate the 3.75in line, I just want a movie style Cap in 6in. scale.

  2. Glad to hear Wave 2 is hitting your area – that probably means we might get them too.

I was disappointed with the build quality of the WW2 Captain America figure but as a statuette he works OK (although he needs a stand) so I’ll be certainly on the look out for the others in this wave I want.

  3. Ooh, that Red Skull looks nice.

I was too picky and passed up the WWII Cap figure, waiting for a better paint application, and now they’re all gone at Target. Hopefully I can find some more soon.
