Dragonfly Sketch from Mecha Zone

I’m enjoying watching David White’s (website) new book come together (last mentioned here). One of the parts I enjoyed about Mecha Zone 2 was the section on designing a mecha from scratch, so getting to watch along online has been a blast for me. I’m really looking forward to the final book . . . even if this entire project has me itching to sit down and draw some giant robots.

Here it is, the rough design sketch for the Dragonfly mech. Based on the previously posted robot and jet sketches. I went with a slightly modified version of jet #8. Hope you like it ’cause I’m loving it! I might make some minor edits to details or proportions but I think, more or less, this is going to be the final mecha design.
