McQuarrie Snowtrooper Mini Bust from Gentle Giant

Gentle Giant (website, Twitter) has their San Diego Comic Con exclusives up on their website so that Collector’s Club members (membership information) can pre-order statues before the convention.

There are a total of five different exclusives, but the only one I went ahead and pre-ordered was this Snowtrooper bust. It’s just too cool to not join the Stormtrooper collection here at the house. (And even though I wanted to, I didn’t order two of them.)

Inspired by the art of Ralph McQuarrie and Joe Johnston, Gentle Giant is proud to bring you the latest addition to our line of “concept art” mini busts – the McQuarrie Snowtrooper. McQuarrie is often credited with developing the look and feel of the Star Wars trilogy. McQuarrie and Johnston worked side by side to develop this version of the Imperial Snowtrooper. It is uniquely different than the final film version, which makes this a wonderful nod to the evolution of the Star Wars Universe.
