Spotted Online – Star Trek Action Figure Pics and Commentary
Action Figure Times has posted an entry filled with photos of the new Star Trek action figures from Playmates. It appears that they like this series a lot more than I do (my Galaxy Collection Original Spock review is here), and are a lot more forgiving of the flaws than I was.
The photos of the Transporter Room playset look okay, but I still say that the playsets aren’t cool enough to justify the prices. And the figures, in my opinion, are simply poor.

Wow, that’s one of the few positive reviews I’ve seen for these toys. I agree with you in that the figures and the playsets are sub-par. But then again, everyone has different criteria for their action figure reviews.
I know I’ve been really down on these, but I can see where hardcore Star Trek fans will be happy with them.
I broke down and bought Sulu (mainly because I just wanted a figure of John Cho) the other day before work. The figure is growing on me but I hate the fact that he can’t sit without looking like he’s lounging.
