Reading – Mos Eisley Sand Rally
Christopher Tupa (website, Twitter) posts amazing artwork all of the time, illustrations that speak to geeks who love toys, cartoons, and the eighties. Seriously, you can basically leave battlegrip.com now and just spend the morning exploring Christopher’s art on Flickr and your morning will be complete.
A Fun Collection
With twelve “Custom Sandcrawler” illustrations this little hand-produced booklet is a blast to flip through. Tupa took a great concept — the custom car culture combined with Jawas — and executed it perfectly with just a few fun and cute illustrations. I bought this booklet a year or so ago and apologize for taking so long to share it, but I just didn’t want you guys draining all of the fun out of it.
Needs a Reprint
As near as I can tell this is no longer available at Christopher’s online store so it’s time he reprint it. It’s just unfair that you can’t buy yourself a copy, because what’s here should be in every Star Wars fan’s collection. But since I’ve got mine it will have to be you who shouts for a reprint.
Enjoy the pics!
Wow! Thanks so much for posting this!!!! This was a fun book to make! I am thinking about making another one but instead of Sandcrawlers using Landspeeders
@Christopher – I must protest the Landspeeder idea and insist on a TIE Fighter book!
There ya go!!! Now that would be fun!!!
