Nistuff’s Glyos System Creations
One of the great things about the Onell Design owned/created Glyos System is that the Onell team is always working with others to get more compatible toys on the market. And now we’ve got word that artist Nistuff (website, Twitter) has a new project in the works . . . and reportedly something will be ready for the New York Comic Con next month.
But before jumping into the future, let’s take a peek at some of Nistuff’s past works. Over the last few years he has crafted several different custom action figures, constructing his own heads and painting and selling one-off designs online and at the NYCC. In the photos above and below we get a look at a variety of those older creations . . . and I even have one of Nistuff’s customs from last year that I’ll be reviewing before Glyos System Week is over so keep watching if you want a closer look at his custom work.
The Future
But it’s the upcoming Anomaly works (see this thread at the October Toys forum) where we need to be looking, because Nistuff has gone into production in China with something completely new. Ni writes:
I’ve been sculpting and casting my own stuff for a few years and finally moving into the big scary world of production pieces. There are going to be 6 figures and one bonus piece being made in pvc which will hopefully be done in time for comicon. I’ll be at NYCC at the Onell booth with a bunch of handcast / painted stuff / pvc stuff and releasing some online drops as well.
Awesome stuff, and I’ve gotta say that I’m jealous because I still haven’t designed/produced my own toys. Maybe one of these days, but for now I’ll just sit back and watch as everyone around me takes the plunge and creates cool toys. Good luck, Ni!
