In TRANSFORMERS lore, UNICRON is the universe’s ultimate evil. An embodiment of pure chaos, UNICRON strikes fear into the hearts of DECEPTICONS and AUTOBOTS alike. His only drive is to consume all life, and it is rumored that he has devoured entire solar systems!

This figure does an excellent job of capturing the fearsome reputation of UNICRON. The robot features LED eyes that glow menacingly when the button on his head is pressed down. He’s also equipped with two ankle-bound rocket launchers, as well as a secret cannon that’s hidden in his chest compartment for sneak attacks. These launchers can fire projectiles when a MINI-CON figure is attached to one of the activation points on UNICRON. UNICRON also offers a number of secret compartments scattered across his body, which he can use to entrap his MINI-CON minions.

Collectors will also be pleased by the many points of adjustment on UNICRON, which allow him to be posed in a variety of ways. The figure features movable arms, legs, shoulders, knees, and a pivoting torso; even his decorative horns and tendrils can bend and move.

  1. Go go go! This thing sold out like 3 or 4 times over the first two days it appeared on Amazon, there was much gnashing of teeth on the internet.

  2. @Vangelus – I know it’s the mean thing to do, but I placed my order and _then_ posted this. I didn’t want to chance seeing it vanish while I was working up a quick post.

  3. I still have the original Armada (I think it was Armada) release I bought when it first came out.

The colors aren’t perfect but the toy darn near is – I love having a G1 Unicron in my collection! I remember how amazing it was that so many years later we finally got a Unicron toy.
