Halo Zombies
Zombies are everywhere, including in the McFarlane Toys Halo action figure series. I saw this Halo Infection* set at Wal-Mart and was kinda surprised to see the “Zombie” Spartans packed inside. I’m not totally clear on what makes the two action figures zombies, but I am sure that if there’s a series out there right now without zombies there’s a good chance someone involved in the series is trying to figure out how to add zombies to the mix.

There’s a game type in Reach called Infection where one player starts as a “zombie”; they have green armor, run faster, and have only the energy sword and they attempt to kill others and turn them into zombies. “Living” players have only shotguns and I think pistols and try to stay “alive” as long as possible. Getting killed turns you into a zombie and the round ends when everyone is one. Which is usually a lot quicker than you’d expect. It’s a pretty fun variation.
@Black Zarak – Thanks for the explanation! I still wish these guys were a bit dirtier and more ragged — with shattered armor and flesh hanging — but it’s good to hear the origin of the concept.
