Spotted Online – G.I. Joe Renegades Firefly Review
G.I. Joe: Resolute* was so much fun that the G.I. Joe Renegades series (official website) hasn’t once appeared on my television . . . though to be fair that’s more with not having the Hub than not wanting to see the series. The Renegades character designs are far more angular and stylized than the Resolute designs, but they look cool in their own way and once the series is on DVD I’m sure I’ll give it a shot. At first I couldn’t stand the look of some of the characters, then I wasn’t sure what I thought, and now I think I like them . . . seriously, the character designs are one of the hardest parts I’ve had so far whenever I’ve seen clips of the series.
One thing the Hazard-Viper (review here) has me doing is tracking down reviews of other G.I. Joe action figures in this latest wave, and this Renegades Firefly review at Generals Joes has me feeling that same “do I like this or hate this?” sensation that I get from the Renegades series clips, so I guess it’s a complete success as an action figure representation of an animated character.
And where I went from “eh” to “woah” was when I spotted the above photo. Visit the review and check out the photos and then decide for yourself whether or not you think the toy looks great. Me? Yeah, I like what I see here and I’ll be watching the toy aisles to see if I can find one for myself.
