The unofficial Transformers toy producers strike again, this time with the Transformers: Hearts of Steel*-inspired Cyclops from Mastermind Creations (website, Twitter).

Jump over to TFW2005 for the pics and get ready for this toy to reach us during 2012. Looks great, but I recently opened their Knight Morpher Commander and it feels slightly cheap after the overly-impressive Hercules (Heavy Labor review here, Structor review here) so it’s possible I’m just expecting too much for an unofficial Transformers toy.

But I don’t think so. Listen, manufacturers, because it’s important that your $50 and $100 toys be completely fantastic and blow us away. Do yourselves a favor and strive to create toys as high-quality as we’re getting with TFC Toys’ Hercules series.

  1. The Knight Morpher Commander was a huge stumbling block for MMC, due to its quality and its being their first release. When they made the black repaint (Knight Morpher Annihilator), they also fixed several engineering problems and upped the overall quality bigtime. Caused me to review that version first! I very much respected them for doing what they could to bounce back from the mistakes made in the KMC, hoping they’ve held onto what they learned when Cyclops comes out.
