Spotted Online – Disasterpeace

Or, in this case, heard online. Onell Design’s new Passcode game — direct link to the game — is a wacky, fun 8-bit style game that looks and sounds a hell of a lot like something I would have played twenty years ago.

And those sounds are all due to the work of Disasterpeace, a band that creates 8-bit style music. It’s not something I would listen to every day, or even for long periods at a time, but the music’s perfect for the game. I hope some other Flash game creators track these guys down and use them.

I’d love to produce an 8-bit Munchkin Flash game at work and get these guys to contribute the music. But there’s already too much to do and I don’t know Flash.
