Fantasy Flight Games’ Infiltration Preview
Infiltration, the upcoming card game based on Fantasy Flight Games’ Android series — which includes a boardgame* and two novels (Free Fall* and Golem*) — has a new preview at the Fantasy Flight Games website. After the short look that I got at the GAMA show a few weeks ago (impressions of the game posted here), and now this new preview article, I’m looking forward to playing this game more than I was when it was first announced.
Hit the preview article for an overview of the game. I like the Incan Gold-like in/out mechanic of the game, and it looks like from that simple base a deeper game was constructed . . . but not one so deep that I’ll be staring at the rules in frustration trying to figure out what I’m even supposed to do with the various components.
The good news is that it is sounding like I’ll get to sit down and play the game next weekend at PAX East. My fingers are crossed in hopes that the planned dinner and evening of gaming comes off perfectly. (With any luck I’ll also get a chance to play Death Angel*, but it’s Infiltration that I’m most excited about.)
