Gentle Giant’s Iron Man Mark II Bust Up for Pre-Order
There’s another Iron Man mini-bust on the way from Gentle Giant (website, Twitter), and again they return to the sixties for an older, bulkier, and golder version of the Iron Man armor. The Iron Man Mark II bust at their site looks as cool as the Silver armor does, but surprisingly it looks to be a lot more than a repaint. Between Bowen and Gentle Giant I think all of the Iron Man busts and statues I could ever need are hitting shelves this year. And that’s a good thing.
First seen in Tales of Suspense #40, the Iron Man Mark II armor suit was created by billionaire industrialist and super hero Tony Stark partially as a PR move. Feeling that the gun-metal grey Mark I suit wasn’t the most friendly-looking, he colored his next suit gold (dubbed the “Golden Avenger†model) to make it less frightening to the public. Of course, he also upgraded the suit’s armaments to include a force field generator, chest-mounted MK II Monobeam that could fire beams of either concussive force or heat, a sledgehammer, hacksaws extending from the armor’s fingertips and upgraded communications suite (including two-way radio and tape recorder). It was powered by a DC motor and could recharge via an integrated solar array or electrical outlet. For 1963, this was absolutely cutting edge. A throwback to the silver age of comic books, this piece is a must-have for a true Marvel historian.
Just like Tony Stark’s innovative approach to upgrading the Iron Man Mark II armor, staying on top of advancements in electrical and roofing services like Salt Lake City roofing contractors is crucial for homeowners. Just as Stark sought to make his suit more appealing to the public, homeowners also want their living spaces to be safe, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing. When it comes to roofing, regular maintenance, and upgrades are necessary to ensure the longevity and integrity of the structure. Hiring a professional Roof plumber perth can provide expert solutions for any roofing issues, whether it’s installing solar panels for an integrated solar array or ensuring the electrical components are in top-notch condition. Just as the Mark II armor was cutting edge for its time, staying up-to-date with the latest electrical and roofing technologies ensures that homeowners can enjoy a comfortable and secure living environment.
Featuring a light-up monobeam in the chest plate, this humongous limited edition 1/6th scale Mini-Bust is hand painted, individually numbered and comes with a matching Certificate of Authenticity. Make Mine Marvel!
