Archer Plastics Space Men on eBay
You know what the problem is with a book like Blast Off* (last mentioned here)? It’s that looking at the book leads you to exploring the internet and, eventually, hitting eBay to see just what might be available.
Well, a search for “archer space” in the toys category on eBay shows to me that I could get into collecting the Archer Plastics Space Men toys pretty cheap . . . but then it would quickly start to get expensive. Damn, those fifties plastic figures look really cool. Way, way too tempting.

They were also reissued as an injection-plastic kit in the 90’s and were available into the last decade, so watch out for that too. I wish I could remember who made the kit.
