“Desperate Days” by Jack Vance up for Pre-Order
Subterranean Press is now taking pre-orders for Desperate Days, the second collection of mystery stories by Jack Vance. This follows Dangerous Ways, the 560-page collection of three Vance mystery novels that’s now available.
And, if you’re interested, you can even check out The SF Site review of Dangerous Ways for a better idea of what you can expect from Vance’s mystery works. I suspect that if you’re at all interested in mystery novels of the sixties and seventies then you’ll want to try at least the first volume and, then, will probably go after the second volume. Good books have a way of making you want to read more good books. It’s a bit of a curse.
