Theme Weeks Bring in More Traffic
I was looking at battlegrip.com traffic this morning and I can see serious spikes in visits — and time spent on the site — during each of the three theme weeks that I’ve run so far. That’s interesting, because I had assumed that theme weeks would generate fewer hits since people would know what’s coming up and — if they don’t like the theme — would skip the site for a week.
I can’t explain it, but I also can’t run a theme week every single week. That would be painful.
I think it has a lot to do with the fact that themes have been really good ones. If you ran a “My Little Pony Week” I can confirm now that that will be the week hits from this particular viewer would drop. Maybe. I’d probably come over anyways and see what you were smoking.
The only way I could make a “My Little Pony Week” work would be if I customized seven of the guys and posted a new one each day.
hmmmmm… go on….
