Batman: Arkham City Escape Coming in September
Cryptozoic Entertainment (website) has announced a new boardgame based on the Batman: Arkham City series (Amazon.com search*). Titled “Arkham City Escape,” the two reports I’ve seen so far — at Game Salute and at Fortress Ameritrash — tell us that this is a two-player game where one player takes on the role of Batman and the other player takes on the role of “one of forty villains from the rogues gallery that Batman has fought in the past, with each villain having abilities exclusive to that character.” Sounds pretty damned awesome to me.
No images have been released yet, but I fully expect Cryptozoic to have something to show at San Diego Comic Con. I’ll have to swing by their booth and see if I can learn anything about — and maybe even try — the game.
