Prismacolor Sale at a San Diego Art Store . . . Not as Good as It First Looked
If you’ve never used Prismacolor markers then you have been missing out. These are amazing markers that blend beautifully and cover like no cheap marker ever will. And, today, I happened across a sale at an art store here in San Diego that I almost took advantage of. But then I thought and did a quick search of Amazon where I found an amazing deal — 48 Prismacolor markers for $75* — which blew away the store’s offer.
This is painful. Physical stores are having a tough time competing with online stores, and as much as it kills me to pass on supporting a physical art store the online price was just too damned good for me to spend money at the art store; the same 48 marker set would have cost me roughly $220 (which would have scored 96 markers today). By comparison, I can get THREE of the same sets for about the same price at Amazon.
I don’t know how art supply stores — any store! — will be able to survive as long as deals like this can be found online.
