Spotted Online – Weird Wheels to Spockcation

So I woke up this morning thinking of Weird Wheels, a trading card set from the eighties that showed us wacky, subculture-designed cars that looked like they came straight out of some underground art project of the seventies. Poking around online led me to this fun post at Branded in the 80s where there’s a ton of the art.

So from that post I looked around some more and it looks like a fun site. What really caught my attention, though, was this post about Spockcation, a photo project by Electrorama. The basic idea? A Spock action figure travels the country and poses for photos.

The Spockcation Map Update shows which states Spock has visited/is scheduled to visit. Too bad I hadn’t caught this a few weeks ago or I would have contacted the site author and tried to get his Spock to go along with me on my upcoming road trip.

If you wanna follow Spockcation, Friday’s post is as good a place as any to get in on the action.
