Masters of the Universe Classics Fighting Foe Men Look Incredible!
I know that I named Castle Grayskullman as the coolest reveal at SDCC (post here) but that doesn’t in any way mean that there weren’t other awesome reveals. And now that Mattel has released official press pics (see them at Action Figure Pics) I’m saying that I personally love the look of the Fighting Foe Men. Man, I do not want a subscription but I do want that pack of three action figures. Basing action figures on classic model kit artwork strikes me as a genius move by Mattel.

I just love that they include swappable chest pieces to make them Horde members. Instant Horde, just add water!
these are like the only guys that strike my fancy in next year’s sub and being at that price and international shipping and paying custom tax, which is like 100$ directly from the maker…hmm, it’s worth a thought, but dunno if it’s worth the money, lol. Otherwise i paid 35$ for a Teela at SDCC last year, so i can’t really complain about the price.
BTW – is there a summary on your discussion with John Kent on twitter about the MotuC pricepoints? Would loooove to read that.
@Ralph – Sorry, no summary. And now the talk has moved to e-mail and I suspect someone will end up posting all about the conversation.
If the sub goes through I doubt it will be too hard to obtain these once they’re released. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if getting them from eBay is cheaper than buying directly from Mattel.
@stack32 – I’m just assuming that even though people are complaining now these toys will be loved once they actually ship. They’re just too weird not to gain a following.
Credit where credit is due. He-Mike came up with the idea and created a custom of the figure from the box art. Mattel saw his custom before they came up with their genius move. Kind of cool that a customizer influenced the line like that.
