Tuesday Tunes – There’s No Mind
This week I’m jumping ahead to some newer stuff, music that’s been fairly recently released and has been in my musical rotation a hell of a lot since I encountered it a few months ago. Do not click through if you’re afraid of awesome beats.
First up this week is Maxxi Soundsystem with “There’s No Love” from Future Disco 5: Downtown Express* which is an intensely awesome album. Seriously, if you find yourself loving this track by Maxxi Soundsystem then you totally need this CD. I’ve been listening to it quite a bit over the last month or so.
Next we get Moon Boots with “Off My Mind,” also from Future Disco 5: Downtown Express*. There’s nothing I can say about this except: If your feet start moving when you hear this song then you now you’re alive.
Kind of ironic that the Future Disco tracks have a strong 1990s house vibe to them. Tip-top tunes, nonetheless.
@zuludelta – I’ve found that a lot of music these days is so influenced by earlier works that this decade doesn’t have a sound of its own. It’s not bad, just kinda strange.
