In the Workshop
My workshop, otherwise known as my garage, has been home to a few different projects over the last few months and finally all of the pieces to one project — a bootleg resin action figure — is coming together.
The arms and torsos still need to be cast, the existing pieces smoothed a little, the feet properly constructed (the Dremel and some epoxy must work together to create the final version of the feet), and the gun barrel drilled out, but then it will be time for assembly and painting.
And since I’m home for Monday through Wednesday I expect that I’ll finish this project by Wednesday evening. It feels good to see this idea coming together. (There have been some frustrating moments and very bad casting attempts, but everything is working now.)
Verrrrrrry eenteresting! Let’s see where this goes!
Well, I shocked myself by selling out of these figures before I even finished them. I should post pics here of the finished design next week. The “customs” section of the October Toys forum has pics of the blank figure.
