Poll – Select One Special Feature for Glyos System Week
Voting closed yesterday and Onell Design’s (website) Glyos System was the winner and will be the theme for late December’s theme week here at battlegrip.com. But since I want to be sure the theme week is as insane as the toys I’ve opened another poll (vote at right) so that you can tell me which special feature to create.
- A new comic. – You can see my After Action comic featuring the Armorvors for an idea of what I mean by comic. If you want me to create another comic for theme week vote for this one.
- A new “choose your own adventure”-like story. – In 2011 I posted Incident at Shadowmount, a programmed adventure set in the Glyos System. If you’d like a new one vote for this option.
- A new tabletop roleplaying game. – There was a time when I wrote roleplaying games and supplements for a living. I don’t do that these days, but lately I’ve been wanting to write a new RPG system . . . and what better world to design a game around than the Glyos System? Choose this option if you’d like to see me create a new tabletop roleplaying game. For an idea of the sort of thing I’ve done before see my “What is vs. Monsters?” post.
Voting is open until December 9th. And please leave a comment when you vote telling us what you voted for and if you have any specific requests just shout them in your comment.
I voted for an RPG.
I tried to write a wargame for Glyos but lost my energy.
Why do what you’ve already done before? Let’s see your take on Glyos, RPG-style! (You just know you’ll have a steady stream of play-testers…)
RPG! RPG!
@Buzzclaw – Thanks, Buzz! My thinking is a Glyos RPG would have to use the toys; a mix of tactical combat and roleplaying. Nothing extremely long or painful — see my “Tabletop Roleplaying Games are Too Long” post https://www.battlegrip.com/?p=39540 — but a quick, snappy game.
@Kranix – For playtesting my plan, if the RPG comes in as the winner, is to post material throughout the special week and then review feedback about a month later and assemble the free PDF of the rules.
@chopa – I’m shocked at the response to the RPG idea. I just tossed it out there because it’s something I want to tackle; I thought for sure comic would be collecting the most votes.
I’d like to see the table-top RPG idea. It’s another way to play with our toys!
We’ve seen plenty of comics, let’s have a game!
Looks like RPG is gonna win. Just a few more hours before the polls close.
