Holy hell this looks awesome! It appears that Takara has reworked the Transformers Generation Scourge* mold to create a Fall of Cybertron Ratbat toy . . . and if the final figure looks anything like this mock-up then I’m gonna be extremely happy. Fantastic colors and a great idea for a Scourge reuse, now open for pre-orders at TFSource.

This looks great! I liked the Scourge mold, but didn’t get a chance to pick one up. This repaint looks really good. The only thing that I’m not crazy about is his head showing in vehicle mode. Because of that, I’m undecided.
I’m particularly split since I bought the generations voyager springer from someone who bought the warbot variation. I kind of wish I had the other mold for rat bat too. It looked great as a botcon scourge. I feel that the evac mold fits better with classics toys and modern toys miss the mark a tad.
@Paul – I know what you mean about the head showing in vehicle mode. But since I’ll display it in robot mode that’s a tiny detail that won’t bother me for too long.
@Openchallenge – You mean that Asian GDO Springer, or the earlier one from the set that included a Ratbat?
