When Playmates’ The Simpsons toys (Amazon.com search*) launched I grabbed more than a few of the various playsets that were first released. Over the years I gave away and sold off the sets — space issues and lack of interest in the line being the usual reasons — but looking back at them I can say it was quite an impressive series and I wish I had kept a few of the playsets.
Well, even though the playsets may no longer be in my collection doesn’t mean that I can’t enjoy the playset designs. Artist and designer Christopher Lauria is sharing several designs in his Deviant Art gallery and I suggest you click through and enjoy the work. And if you dig around you’ll find more than just The Simpsons designs; you can expect to see Star Wars, Mad Balls, and Pokemon to name just some of the lines Lauria has worked on.
