Nemesis the Warlock Collection Coming from 2000 AD

Wikipedia has the background, and now 2000 AD is scheduled to release a Nemesis the Warlock collection in September of this year. Unfortunately, the collection is designed for the UK market so I suspect it will be a bit difficult to grab in the US; the only real luck I’ve had at buying UK-marketed 2000 AD trade paperbacks over the last few years has been at SDCC and NYCC.

I’ve never read the comic, but the artwork and basics make me think this is a series I would enjoy. I guess I know what I’ll be looking for at NYCC this October. And this new collection follows two earlier collections, so between now and SDCC I’ll see if I can find either one of these so I can give the series a shot before I see the 2000 AD booth at SDCC in July.

This special limited-edition hardback is the first ever collection of the Eagle Comics editions, with Kevin O’Neill (League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) colouring his original artwork. It will also include the very hard-to-find Nemesis Poster Prog strip, The Tomb of Torquemada.

Written by 2000 AD creator Pat Mills (Marshal Law) and also featuring artwork by Jesus Redondo (Star Trek: Voyager), the collection will be available in two editions – ‘Deviant’ and ‘Termight’ – with the latter only available through the 2000ADonline.com online shop.

Insane, visceral, mind-blowingly imaginative, political, satirical, and unlike any comic before or since – Nemesis the Warlock is one of 2000 AD’s most successful and famous characters by two of its greatest creators. Black-and-white bestsellers for decades, this colour limited-edition collection of the original Nemesis stories is an absolute must for new and old fans alike.

  1. The Kevin o’Neill from that time is my fave! Though i think Marshall Law is the better work (totally biased by having read it and yet have to read this one here, haha).
Pat Mills is also a nice and humble gentleman and a great writer. Met him once in 2002 or so.
