Transformers Toy Subscription Delays
The official Transformers Club sent an e-mail notice last week updating progress on this year’s subscription service (mentioned here). It sounds like the toys will be delayed a bit longer — they seem to be focusing on BotCon toys before finishing the toys for the subscription — so maybe one day later this summer I’ll start seeing the toys.
According to the current schedule, it looks like the first figures will ship after BotCon. We know you are anxious to get this program kick started as are we, since we sent the complete files to the factory back in October….ugh. Hopefully the process has been fixed on their side so that in future versions, they will make the agreed upon ship dates.
The e-mail also mentions you need to be a member, which I was when I paid for the subscription last year on August 20th (I had to dig into records to verify I paid in advance). So now I’m left wondering what will happen next? I let my subscription expire after the credit card hell I went through last year with the club (posted here) and when it came time to renew this year I requested the chance to call and renew over the phone. The e-mail was never responded to so I let my membership expire.
I wish Hasbro would get the club straightened out because I’d love a shot at more club exclusive toys. But after the credit card hell last year it’s just not worth the pain.
