Score! Paolo Bacigalupi’s The Windup Girl Limited Edition Joins My Library
If you have never read Paolo Bacigalupi’s The Windup Girl* then you need to do some reading because it’s a great book. Set in the same world as two of Bacigalupi’s short stories — Yellow Card Man and The Calorie Man (both found in Pump Six and Other Stories*) — The Windup Girl is a cyberpunkish/post-apocalyptic tale that can get quite violent at times. A very fun read!
And now I’m getting the limited edition of the novel for my collection! Yesterday, Subterranean Press announced they had unearthed limited copies of the book and posted them for sale on their site. These went very fast, but the end of the story is that my other two Paolo Bacigalupi limited edition books (mentioned here) are getting a companion. I know I’m about the only one who really cares, but having this book is going to make me quite happy.
