WowWee’s Monster Marbles in San Juan
If the WowWee company name sounds familiar it’s probably because you’re remembering the Flip Force toy cars (official website, Amazon.com search*) that got me all excited when I ran across them last year. You can see my Construction/Destruction review and Rally/Muscle review for more on those toys, but this post is about something I found by WowWee when we were on vacation in Puerto Rico.
Monster Marbles (official website) are monster designs with a ball bearing constructed into the base, allowing the toys to glide across smooth surfaces. The package includes chalk and rules for simple games, and the WowWee site shows all of the marbles. A very cool idea! WowWee seems to have some clever toy designers on staff; I wonder what it takes to get a job as a toy designer in Hong Kong . . .
I reviewed a couple of packs of these a while back. They’re a lot of fun!
@Iok – WowWee does good work. Makes me think they need to invest in their sales and marketing force and get the toys wider distribution.
