Kickstarter – Type “S” 40th anniversary Mego body
Cast-a-Way Toys is running the Type “S” 40th anniversary Mego body Kickstarter project in an attempt to create new tooling for an update and refinement on the classic Mego action figure body. They’ve got less than two weeks to go and still need support to meet their goal, so please take a look at the project if you’re into the old Mego action figures. And to score one of the new bodies for your customs only costs $10, so the buy-in on the project is fairly low.
The 40th anniversary type 2 body! A body for 8 inch figures with all the charm of the 70’s, but modern enough for todays customizers!

I had a terrible experience with castaway over the phantom. They never posted updates, never responded to emails, & kept pushing back the release. I understand it is a tiny company, but the occasional web update wouldn’t have been difficult. It took over 7 months, with no communication, to get my phantom figure & they are only 3 hours away! He’s a pretty good figure though & I hope they’ve improved their customer service. This actually looks great but I can’t back them based on my prior experience.
@Matthew M – Thanks! I’ve never ordered from them and had not heard of customer service issues. I can understand getting overwhelmed and falling behind; it’s always nice to see how someone deals with exactly that sort of problem.
