Spotted Online – Poe’s Look at the Masters of the Universe Classics 2014 Subscription
According to the graphic posted to the Masters of the Universe Classics subscription page the subscriptions are now at 57% with less than a week to go. That’s actually a little sad considering the subscriptions page opened almost two months ago, but I see no reason that Mattel won’t go ahead and proceed with 2014 even if they don’t reach 100%. “Wolf” and all that at play here.
But forget the subscriptions for now and instead check Poe Ghostal’s post about the subscriptions and his thoughts on why Mattel is having a tough time reaching their goal this year. I think all of Poe’s points are valid, but it seems to be the price — in my eyes — that’s causing the most damage. If Mattel were to limit the toys to twelve each year and not force fans to chase weird exclusives and jump through hoops I think they’d have a better chance at reaching the 100% mark.
Anyway, visit the official subscriptions page if you want to lock in your 2014 Masters of the Universe Classics action figures . . . but not all of the figures. Because that would be too easy.
