Spotted Online – Matthew K’s Incredible Masters of the Universe Classics Batros Pics

I know I just linked to one Batros review yesterday (posted here), but when I saw Matthew K’s new Batros review at The Fwoosh there was no way I wasn’t going to share the link with all of you. Matthew always posts awesome photos, and the colors and scenery builds in this latest review are some of the best work he’s ever done with his photography.

Click through and be astounded at the amount of work Matthew sinks into his reviews. And the skeletons in those shots? I still say someone needs to create a series of skeletons scaled/designed for use with Masters of the Universe Classics action figures because I would buy at least two and probably more . . . especially if they came with alternate heads, weapons, and armor.

  1. Is it weird that third-party Transformers are thriving, while there doesn’t seem to be Masters of the Universe-knockoffs like there were back in the day? Seems like there’d still be a market for “Plays with” (or “Displays with!”) MOTUC!

  2. Thanks! I am 100% with you on the desire for army builder skeletons for Skeletor. There are a few different designs out there in different MOTU properties that I think would work. For instance, if you classics – ize the skeleton warriors seen in the I-pod He-Man game you would have some pretty excellent figures.

BTW, the Skeleton warriors in that review were the work of talented customizer He-Mike. He had a bunch for sale at Power-Con this year.

googum – there is a burgeoning 3rd party custom toy MOTUC market. Lots of guys are making accessories for print at Shapeways (Evil Mike, He-Bro are a couple of names). Jonathan Alvis is selling customizing kits to help you transform you MOTU figures into different warriors like Blackstar and Warduke. Joe Amaro made a small personal vehicle called the Manta Raider and a mod kit to Castle Grayskullman. Backyard Legends sculpted a Castle Grayskull dungeon grate that was for sale at power-con. Spy Monkey Creations has weapon sets that go with MOTUC. I’m sure I missed somebody in that list, but yeah there is room for more.
