3A Adventure Kartel Astronaut Releases Tonight
My recent re-ignition of interest in Adventure Kartel action figures (Amazon.com search*) eventually found me at the bambalandstore.com site where a new action figure, an astronaut, is set to go up for pre-order tonight.
And now I’m torn. Experience says I’ll be better off if I wait and pay aftermarket prices, but a little digging on makes it look like 3A has gotten a bit better about delivery dates. Damn, this is exactly the sort of thought process my brain should not be going through today. I hate my brain. I think I should get it replaced.
While we leave my brain to fight with itself I thought I would share links to the various 3A 12-inch scale action figures I’ve reviewed over the years. Have fun!
- Ashley Wood’s World War Robot Square 10-Pack
- Ashley Wood’s Adventure Kartel Shadow Zombie
- World War Robot EMGY-TRG Dropcloth
- Ashley Wood’s Little Shadow in Shadow Mode
- Adventure Kartel KA Mumb
- Adventure Kartel HoodZomb
NOTE: This 3A Production Blog update says this series is actually Evenfall, not Adventure Kartel, so that’s another new product line. But since the astronaut looks to me like he fits in fine with Adventure Kartel I’m lumping it there for now to make my life easier.

Creepy design – it looks like the lovechild of Slenderman and the Alien/Human hybrd from ALIENS: Resurrection.

@Blayne – I had totally missed the Aliens connection. Nice catch! All I saw was “hey, that’s creepy and awesome” when I saw the images.
They’ve gotten a bit better, but its still not amazing. I’m waiting on a figure that was supposedly shipping Fall 2013; the delays don’t bother me, but I wish 3A would at least acknowledge it being delayed with a blog post. It feels like they’re just hoping I’ll forget that they haven’t delivered a thing I paid for.
P.S. avoiding this nice fellow for now since I’m sticking to their 6 inch lines. I’m into making dioramas with my marvel legends, figmas, etc; and it saves a lot of room if I avoid 1/6 scale.
@Chris – Okay, thanks for the info on that. I’ll keep my eyes on this since I did go ahead and take a chance. Fingers crossed!
Testing.
