Tamashii Effect Pre-Orders Open at Big Bad Toy Store
Tamashii Nations announced earlier this year (see the Tomopop post) that they will be releasing “effects” for use with action figures. Flames, explosions, shattered earth and concrete . . . these are diorama/display pieces meant to enhance the look of your action figures on shelves. I can’t see a lot of play value in these, but action figure photographers and diorama builders are likely to go crazy buying the various sets.
And now the first two releases in the series — Tamashii Effect Impact Beige Version and Tamashii Effect Impact Gray Version are up for pre-order at Big Bad Toy Store. These are priced at $18/each, so just a little pricey to grab a lot of them. Still, they look cool and it’s a great idea. I hope these do well and we get a lot of options in 2014.
