Matt Doughty Custom Star Wars Outrider, Dash Rendar, and IG-88
Matt Doughty (Onell Design) constantly surprises me with his ability to always have something just sitting around and ready whenever I post about toys. After yesterday’s 1996 Kenner Star Wars action figure post (see “Kenner’s 1996 Star Wars Action Figures Were Awesome”) Matt hit me with these photos of customized Dash Rendar, Outrider, and IG-88 toys.
Matt reports that Dash and the Outrider were done in 1996 and IG-88 was customized in 2003; I love how Matt just has this stuff laying around his home and how many years back his love of toy design goes. He constantly surprises me and I’m starting to see it as a challenge to post some weird and unexpected thing just to see what he digs out of his insanely large collection of toys.

Cool!!! If I remember correctly, the Dash Rendar figure had a terrible time fitting into the Outrider. The vehicle is still very cool!! Makes me want to dig these figures out of the attic.
