Spotted Online – Trendmasters’ Godzilla Toy Commercials from the Nineties

I often forget that Trendmasters even existed as a company. According to the Wikipedia entry, Trendmasters closed down in 2002 (and bits were acquired by Jakks Pacific), and the company offered several licensed toy lines during the nineties:

After the success of its first wave of Godzilla toys in 1994, Trendmasters began producing toys based on many licenses, including the series Voltron: The Third Dimension, as well as films and television programs such as Nova’s Ark, Battlefield Earth, Gamera, Forbidden Planet, Independence Day, Mars Attacks!, Extreme Ghostbusters, Lost in Space, Gumby, Cardcaptors and The Spooktacular New Adventures of Casper.

Well, Godzilla fans will want to see this scifijapan.com post where a total of ten Trendmasters Godzilla commercials have been shared with the public. If this doesn’t bring the nineties back into your mind today then nothing will.

Trendmasters prototype figure collector Jonathan Shyman — co-author of the popular GODZILLA: THE SERIES toy article — has shared ten Godzilla television commercials transferred directly from Trendmasters’ press materials and master tapes.
