“A Brain, a deck, and a friend.”

I’ve never been a fan of Wizard of the Coast’s Magic: The Gathering CCG, but that doesn’t stop me from recommending that you watch this 1997 commercial for the game. What I find most surprising is that about half of the commercial doesn’t even mention the game or the fact that the commercial is for a card game. That’s a lot of air time for a setup.

And hey, it’s from an era when we weren’t told to “like” the company Facebook page! I continue to be stunned at how very innocent the nineties feels compared to what’s around us today.
