Spotted Online – Vintage Kenner Collector’s Cases at Star Wars Blog
Check this Star Wars Blog post for a fantastic look at the classic Kenner Star Wars action figure carrying cases. From vinyl cases to the Darth Vader and C-3PO sculpted cases to the even stranger designs, the blog entry has them all . . . and with photos of the cases and instruction sheets!!!
And once you finish enjoying that post I suggest you check out my own “Missing: The Action Figure Carrying Case” post from earlier this year. Star Wars gets some important mentions, yes, but there’s even more there since the article was about cases in general and not just Star Wars.
Too bad Hasbro or Mattel doesn’t spend money to research carrying cases as gifts. I’d love to know how many action figure carrying cases were unwrapped Christmas morning 1983 vs. Christmas morning today.
