Joe in the sixties, and a book I’ve mentioned in the past, is GI Joe: The Complete Story of America’s Favorite Man of Action* . . . but for a look at the actual toys and various outfit/adventure sets Hasbro created for 12-inch scale G.I. Joe action figures in the sixties and seventies you cannot beat Collectible GI Joe: An Official Guide to His Action-Packed World*.
The book is loaded with photos and might be the best book I’ve seen for anyone who just wants to admire these old toys. I know I will be back at some point in the neat future to tackle an actual review of the book, but for now all I can say is that you need this on your shelf if you’re at all interested in 12-inch scale action figures.
