Spotted Online – Doomkick Shares the 1978 Kenner Star Wars Catalog
It looks like I’m not alone in enjoying a visit to the past and Kenner’s Star Wars Collection of the seventies and eighties. Over at Doomkick, T-Rav has shared the 1978 catalog and looking through the images has me remembering how often I flipped through this catalog when I was a kid.
When I was younger all I did was drool on the toys shown in the catalogs, but today I can really appreciate all of the work and artistry that went into the creation of the catalogs. (And drool on the toys, but that’s a given.) And when you stop and realize that this work was done pre-Photoshop and desktop publishing the design of the catalog becomes even more impressive. Now I’m asking myself why I don’t have a copy of this exact catalog somewhere in the house.
