1986 M.A.S.K. Slingshot from the Kenner Toy Fair Catalog

Wait, I haven’t reviewed the Slingshot here at battlegrip.com? I thought for sure I had reviewed the toy already, but the M.A.S.K. category search shows that I thought wrong. Man, I’ve been failing you guys for years because I have a Slingshot and have always thought it was one of the cooler M.A.S.K. toys from Kenner.

Anyway, I may have failed you, but that doesn’t mean I cannot apologize by posting this Slingshot page from Kenner’s 1986 product catalog. Just look at that art and how much work Kenner sunk into this one toy in the series! Today’s toy company marketers could learn a thing or two from just this one Kenner catalog.

  1. @Jay – One day in the future I’ll clear a large enough block of time that I work through all of the M.A.S.K. collection at home and share it online.

  2. Always my favorite toy from this line. This vehicle just felt like it was more possible than the others, even down to Ace’s outfit. This could have been a weapon of the U.S. Military in the 80s.

  3. The Rhino is an all-time great, and you can still find it on eBay for a reasonable amount. It’s the later releases in the Split Seconds series that I wish could be had without breaking the bank!
