FansProject Retro-Future Glacialord Transforming Robot Toys Open for Pre-Order

I’m still a little confused by this set of five transforming robot toys. Designed to look as if they were made thirty years ago, the Retro-Future Glacialord toys are available now at the FansProject Core website. The set’s $200 for FPCore members (just open an account on the site for the discounted price), and from what I can see these toys are best-suited for Transformers Generation One collectors.

If you’re a puzzleformer fan — you know, those toys that are the very reason Hasbro is changing their approach to Transformers toys — then this may not be for you.

  1. “…those toys that are the very reason Hasbro is changing their approach to Transformers toys — then this may not be for you.”

Interesting, can you expand on that? I’m a G1 fan, and the newer toys (besides their design tie-in to the Bayformers) has begun to annoy me. What exactly is it about their approach that that’s been changing?

  2. Personally I love these figures as they give me that G1 feeling I love. I see your point on how they are simpler but you are getting a BreastMaster/HeadMaster combination here which is pretty epic in my opinion.

    Simpler is sometimes better.

  3. @Marvin Malkowski Jr – Sorry I wasn’t clear. I meant my comment as a good thing. I prefer these to some of the puzzleformers out there.

  4. Thanks for clearing it up as what you posted sounded the exact opposite to me.
