“Oota goota, Solo?”
I’ve been noticing something new about Hasbro’s Star Wars Black action figure series (Amazon.com search*) and the toy shelves: Han Solo is becoming just a little more common on pegs.
Hopefully we’ll see the newest wave of Star Wars Black action figures in stores soon, even if that just means there will be even more Han Solo figures out there in the wild.
As I watch this line unfold I keep wondering why Hasbro is releasing cases of four figures. It’s gotta be driven by the buyers because I cannot see why Hasbro would only want four different characters on shelves at a time. I suspect the release strategy has more to do with minimizing risk than anything else.

I was out on a toy run with a friend last Friday and saw everyone from series one except for the Sandtrooper and everyone from series two except for Boba Fett. I guess that’s not the worst distribution in the world but the small cases and waves definitely mean that the same figures stack up faster.
The smaller figures though? I still have seen nothing at all from anything except wave 1. I saw one Luminara around Christmas and that was it.
I haven’t seen Solo for a while. Mostly a few Leias and Greedo’s but honestly not many of them (3 or 4 total) I’m glad Solo’s sticking around though since I need one and haven’t gotten around to even trying to buy one yet.
