Wednesday, July 23 is Batman Day
DC Comics has announced that July 23 is Batman Day, celebrating 75 years of Batman with special masks, a comic book, as well as the launch of a new Robin series that’s described as:
Fans who visit comic stores on “Batman Day†also have the opportunity to purchase ROBIN RISES: OMEGA #1, an oversized one-shot story from bestselling creators Peter J. Tomasi and Andy Kubert and GRAYSON # 1 by Tim Seeley and Mikel Janin, which depicts the original Robin, Dick Grayson, in an all new monthly series in which the crime fighter turned super spy fights to clear his name.
Sounds like some real fun for Batman fans this summer. If I were smart I would smart making notes now to run a Batman special week to coincide with DC’s Batman Day event. I’m not smart, though, so instead I’ll just point all of you at the Week of the Batman Index from my Batman week event last summer.
