Spotted Online – Finally, Pics of the Not-Throttlebots Combined!
Toyworld has been working on their series of not-Throttlebots unofficial Transformers toys for a few years now, and from the start everyone knew that they were creating a combiner team as they updated those old eighties Autobot Mini-Cars to a new era. Well, the company has finally revealed the entire team — including combined mode — and as the TFW2005 pics show us this is far cooler than I was expecting.
Three of the six toys are already out there, and even though I’ve only posted a review of one of the three (Aurora review posted here) I can say that this subline is worth snagging. And as Noisy states at It’s All True, this combined not-Throttlebots has a bit of the GoBots Puzzler (see Puzzler review at Counter-X) feel to it.
Now to wait impatiently for the last three toys to be released. I’m ready Toyworld, let’s get busy!
I wonder about these companies and their release schedules.
Is it prolonged due to cost of manufacture? So their waiting on the cash from the first few to support the rest?
Or is it quality control process release by release?
@Court – I have wondered the same thing. I sometimes think that their plan is to start a series and grab fans. For example, launch the Throttlebots with two or three and then switch to something else.
Why? Fans who have invested in the line are unlikely to switch and instead wait for the company to finish. Get two or three Terrorcons out, for example, and then come back in a year or so to finish knowing full well some fans will wait for you instead of buying some else’s Terrorcons.
