News – Action Figure Displays

While browsing toy sites I came across a review of Action Figure Displays at Poe Ghostal’s Points of Articulation blog. The displays, made of foamcore with mounted images, look decent, but they’re not exactly the type of display I’d like to find. Looking at the images, and reading the review, did make me think that this may be the closest thing we have today to the old cardboard playsets (which, while cheesy, were fun; slot the cardboard back into the plastic base and bam instant environment and, as I said in my Dark Trooper review, I love cardboard displays).

I’m not buying one of these — mostly because they’re not exactly what I want and not because of how they look — but someone out there may find that these are exactly what they’ve been looking for.
