Transforming Expectations Now 112-Pages

Transforming Expectations, my book dedicated to third party Transformers and the sequel to last year’s Transforming Collections*, is late. Months late. I’m hoping the fact that the book is now 112-pages helps make the lateness a little less bothersome for all of the (very patient) backers of the project.

As of now I have left to finish:

  • Cover. The specs are in my hands and it’s time to finalize exactly what I want to do for the book’s cover.
  • Title Page, Index, and Introduction. Yeah, I have got to knock these out.
  • Assorted measurements and tweaks. Little things here and there, but it’s all refining what’s in place.

With over three hundred photos in the book — and 32 pages longer than Transforming Collections* — this new book is one I’m quite happy with and cannot wait to get the finished version in my hands.

  1. As a Kickstarter backer I know it can be frusterating when a project is delays (sometimes even multiple delays) but at the end of the day I’m the kind of person who likes to get the biggest bang for my buck — and if you’re offering more content and an overall better product, I know I’m alright with that! 😉

  2. This is looking great! I have no problem with the delays since you have updated everyone on the status throughout the process. Anyone who backed the Kickstarter campaign knows the effort you have put into this book and will be excited to see it in their mailbox.

  3. Hey Phil. In your opinion, if I were using Huff & Krank in a 28mm miniatures game, how oversized would the vehicles be? Without having any in hand, I never know how big they are and I don’t have deep enough pockets to just order items blindly. Thanks!

    1. @Stratos – Wow. Huff and Krank are both pretty big compared to 28mm figures. If I remember right each one is five to six inches tall. (In that neighborhood.)

  4. Oh, and a page typo. Page 16 above says “Smart Robin is much to find” and I believe you want it to say “Robin is much easier to find”.
