Halloween in New York by Mike Drake
You can tell that Halloween is closing in fast by the way that Gina has decorated the house, the fact that Alex has gone through the stages of Halloween (I’m gonna have an awesome costume this year, I won’t wear a costume this year, I have a costume for this year), and we’re seeing new Halloween items.
Like this new book by Mike Drake, Halloween in New York, which is exactly what it sounds like.
You know, I’d never really thought about it before but I bet this is a really fun holiday to celebrate in New York. There’s gotta be hundreds of thousands of people swarming the streets in costumes.
The e-mailed press release included a lot of words, but it’s the photos that will really sell a book like this. Like the photo of the wacky car, above, that would be a hell of a lot of fun to drive and would fit in perfectly in any Hot Wheels collection.
So did the woman in the photo above even care as she walked by or does she see this sort of thing every day? This might be my favorite shot out of the sample photos that were sent over to me.
Halloween in New York is available right now from lulu.com.
Cool book! Is this the same guy who wrote the Isolated Art Of michael lee Ford?
Re the woman. Please, in NY I doubt if a sight like that is even worth a second glance.
