This Dark Horse Marvel Classic Character Iron Man Gold Variant Statue was an exclusive at San Diego Comic-Con in 2012 and now Entertainment Earth will be selling copies to anyone who was lucky enough to pre-order it. The statues are sold out before they even ship, but the design looked cool enough to me that I wanted to make sure you got to see it. And hey, with it sold out we’re all safe from temptation and can look without fear of falling for the trap. It really does look like a fun design.
Previously a San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive, Tony Stark makes his appearance in his gold variant costume. The Marvel Classic Character Iron Man Gold Variant – San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive is a limited-edition of 200 pieces. The Syroco-style statuette stands 4 3/4-inches tall and comes in a litho-printed tin box, with a pin-back button and a booklet. Iron Man was originally portrayed in a silvery iron suit when he was introduced to the world by Marvel. Very shortly thereafter he transitioned into this gold-colored iron suit.
